Jerry, The Courier, one of the brave, unsung heroes of WWI is sent out on a top secret mission. The Colonel is not pleased to send a mouse as courier, but his Lieutenant says that Tomas Von Klobberhafen shot out all the rest. Jerry is given his message and told that it must get through enemy lines, but Tom is off in the distance already aware of that a message is being sent. Jerry takes to the skies with the message, not fearing Tom. As Jerry is flying along, Tom arrives behind him and knocks Jerry out of the sky onto a motorcycle below. Tom parachutes down into the motorcycle sidecar and rides off with Jerry. However, Jerry loosens the sidebar and Tom is sent over a cliff. Jerry, meanwhile, makes a large paper airplane and takes to the sky. Tom flies after Jerry in a large multi winged airplane, but Tom ends up crashing into a zeppelin. The cat's next tactic is a monstrous zeppelin, but Jerry manages to puncture the zeppelin's balloon and cause Tom to crash. At the crash site we find that Tom finally gets the secret message, only to find out that it was a love letter from the Colonel to his love. He and Jerry, annoyed that it was just a love letter, tear up the letter and head off into the sunset.

  • When Tom reads the letter, his eyes are white.
